50 States: Washington

Last week, someone booked me for wedding photos. It was a wake up call. Four months into 2013 and no photo blogs? Pathetic. So, I’ve been a little inspired to get back into blogging now that I’m settled into life post-college.

I’ve also started my 50 state road trip I’ve been dreaming about. Since working full-time doesn’t really allow for you to take a trip like that, I’ve decided to quit.

No, just kidding.

We’re going in pieces instead, only a few states at a time on the weekends, when we can afford it. Obviously, Washington is the easiest to get to. Last weekend, we stayed in a little town called Hood River, Oregon. It’s right on the Oregon/Washington border, so we drove across. One state down, 48 to go.

I’ve been thinking, wouldn’t it be amazing to put together a gallery showing of the 50 states in photos? I think so. Challenge accepted. 50 state road tip and photo mission is on.

Berger Wedding

Hello! After weeks months of not posting, I’m finally back! Project 52 ended up being an epic failure. After I starting my new job, moving into my new apartment and starting my new life, project 52 fell to the bottom of my to-do list. Luckily, photos didn’t (just blogging). I have photos to post from those weeks, but really what’s the point now?

Most importantly, I’ve been lucky enough to have a few photo sessions with some beautiful people! I had three senior portraits, one engagement session and one wedding last month. It was so much fun. Finally, I’ve had the time and focus to sit down and share all the amazing days and people with you!

Week 28: Black Butte Ranch

Last week, I was on a family vacation with my boyfriend’s family in Black Butte. It was so relaxing and beautiful country! I finally had a photo extravaganza. I love having this extra time with out school or jobs to worry about!

Week 27: Zoo Lizard

As an early birthday present, my wonderful boyfriend took me to the Portland Zoo. It was pretty difficult to get good photos of the animals, but this little lizard was the perfect photo opportunity.

Week 26: Meeting the Baby

The past few weeks, I’ve been all over the place. After graduation, I was busy job hunting, house hunting and in general staying away from the computer. I’ve been taking photos, so here goes another three week update!

You may remember my friend who moved to Germany during project 365. She came back for a while with her new baby, and I had the chance to meet the little baby and see my friend again! The baby is the sweetest and most adorable baby ever. It was just a quick photo shoot, but they’re so cute! I couldn’t help posting this as the photo of the week.

Week 24: Kissing Seals

The next day I was in Pacific City was a Monday, so it counts for the next week of project 52 (right?). Plus, this is probably one of my favorite photos I have ever taken. Kissing seals in the middle of the ocean… I mean really, can you get cuter than that? I don’t think so.
